Hope you have fun looking at my creations and other things I love in life.... calligraphy is my passion, but so is my family... consisting of "the love of my life", my hubby, and my three miniature long haired dachshunds. You'll see lots of them here. Loved this quote: There’s something sacred about reading a blog post on someone else’s site. It’s like visiting a friend’s house for a quick meal ’round the breakfast table. It’s personal—you’re in their space, and the environment is uniquely suited for idea exchange and uninterrupted conversation. In many ways, we should be treating our blogs like our breakfast tables. Be welcoming & gracious when you host, and kind & respectful when visiting.” – Trent Walton

Farmer's Market.. I love summer!

In my little town, we have a Farmers Market that comes to us every Tuesday.  I love it when May rolls around, despite the temps, 'cause that means fresh produce from the Farmers.  This year, I have been buying most of my stuff from Star Market out of Rockdale... mainly 'cause I know the folks who own and work that farm.  They are, actually, the breeders of my three Doxies.  Lately, they have some really good tomatoes and peaches... but TODAY, for some reason, they were not represented there.

This "farmer" *in photos* is in from Elgin and they were "making a killing" as they were the only ones there.  Another vendor is usually selling their goods, too, which I get my cherry tomatoes from, but for some reason ... they were absent today as well. BOOO!  So, I ended up getting some green beans, cherry tomatoes, regular Early Girl tomatoes and some red onions from them.  I came home and cooked up the green beans and red potatoes which I got last week from another vendor.  I can't wait to taste them... Grilled some chicken and voila!!! Time for dinner... bye!
